RaintreeTV Student Fund

RaintreeTV helps pay down student debts for those students who:
a) contribute to this website under our terms of contribution, and
b) have an existing debt.

We give gifts, at random intervals, on a purely subjective basis, to students who contribute work to Raintree TV. We do not pay for "contributions." Contributions are gifts from their creators wrapped in the legal agreement called the "Terms of Contribution (TOC)." Each contributor does so for their own purposes. Our intent for the Student Fund is to help pay down student debt when and where we can. So start submitting your new media creations and build a portfolio of Raintree TV contributions. Remember when one makes "a contribution under the terms of the Terms of Contribution" they must agree to and sign the "Terms of Contribution (TOC) ." The TOC requires the individual, who created the work, to grant Raintree TV non-exclusive right to use, distribute, and display their work on RaintreeTV's domain and sub domains (raintree.tv) without any form of compensation other than recognition. Eligibility to benefit from the RaintreeTV Student Fund :

1. You must have an existing student debt to receive a gift from our student fund.
2. You must have made a significant contribution, in any form, that is actually used or displayed or distributed by RaintreeTV. A contribution may include programming, html, php, mysql, web development, dhtml, video, still pictures, graphics, web-ware, animations, online games, flash, director, shockwave, story boards, documentaries, docudrama's, sound effects, cartoons, and work as a bulletin board moderator or writer! Any significant contribution. We even accept error reporting and spelling corrections as contributions.

NOTE: Just because you don't have an existing student debt now, doesn't mean you can't benefit later for current contributions. You can contribute now, and when you go back to school or spend money furthering your education in new media and film let us know. This is our way of encouraging people to continue to learn about new media and film.

Creating any form of new media, software, web development, video, or still image requires a great deal of time and effort. We hope the Raintree Student Fund will encourage interest in new media, encourage people to contribute to our site, and in some small way help to offset their opportunity cost in the time spent investing in developing new media content for contribution to RaintreeTV.
